This version of GCOM would not run with OpenMPI (http://www.open-mpi.org), as MPI_COMM_WORLD has a different numerical value between the Fortran and C libraries (The UM uses mixed language programming in GCOM) and also certain arguments need to be cast, again so they are interoperable between C and Fortran. To get hold of a version which will work with OpenMPI type:
